Bookmark and Share

Britannia Building Society has launched two new tracker mortgages today, to mark their 150th anniversary.

One of the mortgages tracks at 0.35 per cent above the Bank of England base interest rate for the term of the mortgage, with an arrangement fee of 99.

This mortgage also has a free standard valuation and Britannia will provide free conveyancing which includes compulsory disbursements.

The second tracker mortgage, which is available to first-time buyers, movers and customers looking to find a remortgage with Britannia, will track at 0.25 per cent above the base rate.

However, this mortgage has an arrangement fee of 399, administration fees of 100, plus variation and standard rate conveyancing fees apply.

Mike Sims, senior marketing manger at Britannia, commented: 150 years is a significant milestone for Britannia Building Society, especially given the competitive marketplace we operate in today. These products are a great opportunity for our members to join in our celebrations and customers can be confident of a competitive rate of interest as well as potentially benefiting from great remortgage packages for as little as 99.

Britannia is the second largest building society in the UK and have over two million members, with almost 5 billion of gross lending per annum.
