Two mortgage rate cuts on two-year mortgage at Yorkshire
Wed, 27 Jul 2005

For the second time this month, Yorkshire Building Society has reduced the mortgage rate on its two-year fixed rate mortgage.

The mortgage rate now stands at 4.34 per cent, a competitive rate in a sector of the mortgage market where mortgage lenders are doing their best to secure more customers.

This reduced mortgage rate deal is available to new and existing mortgage borrowers, so first time buyers, homeowners and those looking to find a remortgage are able to take advantage of this deal.

Apart from the competitive mortgage rate that is fixed until October 31st 2007, the mortgage also offers free insurance cover in the case of accident, sickness or unemployment for the first six months.

Charge-free overpayments of up to ten per cent of the capital are allowed. With interest being charged daily, mortgage borrowers get immediate benefit for all repayments.

The flexible mortgage is fully portable, allowing the mortgage borrower to easily move home during the fixed mortgage period.

A booking fee of £195 applies to this mortgage, as well as a completion fee of £300.

Yorkshire Building Society is one of the largest building societies, providing mortgages to customers at 131 branches in the UK.

As a prime mortgage lender, it is committed to mutuality and is determined to return real financial benefits to its mortgage holders. Its purpose is to maximise long-term benefits for a growing membership.
